Services

Consulting

1 Hour

I offer individual clinical consultation to other clinicians in the field, who are seeking a deeper understanding of the continuum of eating disorders.  I also really enjoy providing psycho-education and consultation to other professionals in the medical field who are interfacing with individuals struggling with eating disorders.

Psychotherapy

50 Minutes

People seek therapy for a wide variety of reasons, from coping with major life challenges or childhood trauma, to experiencing depression or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge.  I hold the therapeutic relationship as a partnership that is sacred and needs to be a good fit.  I provide a safe, comfortable and compassionate space.  This space allows individuals to openly explore thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behavior patterns, while learning how to express emotions and relieve distress in a healthy way.  I explore individual’s experiences in family and relationships to help gain an understanding of how they relate to themself and others.  I work with each client to help them identify their needs, cultivate insight and inner strength, and reach their own personal goals.  While providing a safe space, I balance this with an authentic and direct approach, which guides and challenges clients to move forward in their growth process and work towards desired change.  I take an integrative approach to therapy, blending traditional psychotherapy, Buddhist teachings, Vipassana meditation, and somatic tools to support greater self-regulation of emotions and the nervous system.  I help clients find a greater sense of clarity, balance and well-being. I can also work collaboratively with other providers such as registered dietitians, physicians, psychiatrists, and acupuncturists to ensure that each client receives comprehensive care.
